Who We Are
Hi, I’m Hannah!
I’m the owner and girl behind the embroidery machine.
Funny enough, Anchor & Light Co. started long before I ever owned an embroidery machine.
While finishing my bachelor’s degree, I had to complete a business plan as my cumulative college project. Instead of inventing a business just for the assignment, I created the plan for Little Loose Clothing Co, now known as Anchor & Light Co.
At the time, it was mostly an idea on paper — something I thought maybe someday I’d actually get the chance to build.
After college, I went on to build a career in finance and budgeting, but that little business plan never completely went away. Eventually, “someday” turned into why not now? — and Anchor & Light Co. became a real business.
What started small has grown faster than I ever expected. Today, I get to create custom hats and apparel, work with local businesses and organizations, and produce spirit wear for schools in our community. Every piece that leaves my shop is made with care right here in Southwest Washington.
When you order from Anchor & Light Co., you’re supporting a real small business and a real family. I’m a mom of two, a commercial fisherman's wife (see the nod to "Anchor" and Light Co?), and the person behind the messages, designs, embroidery machine, packaging, and just about everything else that happens behind the scenes.
One of my favorite parts of this business is getting to take someone’s idea and turn it into something they’re genuinely excited to wear. And it’s pretty surreal to think that the business I once created for a college assignment is now filling my days — and occasionally keeping my embroidery machine running from morning until night.
Whether you’re here for spirit wear, a custom piece, or you simply stumbled across my little corner of the internet, I’m so glad you’re here.
Thank you for shopping small, supporting local, and helping me continue building something that once existed only on paper.
Welcome to Anchor & Light Co. 🤍
